as i'm sure many people already know, drugstore lines such as Maybelline, Loreal, Rimmel and Revlon have released some really great and surprisingly amazing products. These include the Maybelline 24/7 Color Tattoo cream shadows, Revlon lip butters, Maybelline Dream Bouncy blushes, Maybelline Baby Lips, Maybelline Illegal Lengths mascara, and the Loreal Infallible eyeshadows. Rimmel has also released this new HD eyeshadow that is shaped like a flag and comes in many varieties; however i havent tried this one yet.
i HAVE tried the Revlon lip butters, the Maybelline Color Tattoos, Loreal Infallible eyeshadows and the Illegal Lengths mascara. and i LOVE all of them. However, i did have problems with a few of them and i'll share that after the

Maybelline Baby Lips:
i was really excited to try this product when it first came out in stores, as i saw an ad for it in my magazine. i picked it up in Cherry Me (15) because i had wanted to try a red color on my lips. i instantly LOVED it and i will share why. First off, right off the bat you will notice that it has a really great and delicious scent. Of cherries (for this shade). It smells so good that it makes me want to use it everyday. The tint is slight but you can build it up, and it is super moisturizing. The price is also a major "pro" because it is super cheap. it retails anywhere from $2-$4. I didnt really have any problems with this as it is a great product and awesome for its price. (: Maybelline rarely disappoints me so i was really happy with this!
When i first came to buy it it had all the colors but now as the popularity has increased, it seems to be sold out everywhere.. i wanted to get it in Pink Punch, Peach Kiss and the Peppermint one.. oh wells.. i guess ill just have to keep an eye out for them coming back in stock.
Maybelline 24/7 Color Tattoos
This eyeshadow is really great, and it reminds me of MAC's paint pots. I really wish i could get it in more colors, as i only have Too Cool - the white frosty color, and Bold Gold - a beautiful gold with little hints of a darker antiqued gold look. These two colors are beautiful and truly last all day. i applied the white one in my waterline and by the end of the day it looked just as it did in the beginning, even when i rubbed my eyes.. I swatched these on my hands and when i tried to take them off with soap and water they didnt budge at all. but no worries, they come off with regular makeup remover ~ These retail anywhere from $6-10. At walmart they are the cheapest i think, but i havent seen it anywhere else so i can't really say.
the only downs i have for this product is the accessibility because it is sold out at walmart and not sold yet anywhere else i have checked. I hope that this product hits the other stores soon so i can snatch up a few more colors !! LOVE IT x33
Loreal Infallible eyeshadows
I first saw these on frmheadtotoe's video. She raved about them and the swatches were gorgeous!! i have this in Continuous Cocoa, Perpetual Purple, Sultry Smoke
I swatched these on my hand the same time i swatched the Maybelline color tattoos, and i must say i was so surprised. Even with my scrubbing (and by this time the Color Tattoos were gone) there were still traces of this eyeshadow on my hand. I used Continuous Cocoa as a liner the next day, without primer, and it stayed put all day long, no smudging, no creasing! it truly is amazing. This retails for about $6.50 at walmart, but again, sold out! and at walgreens $10. errgh, i hope that they bring more into walmart/walgreens so i can pick up more shades!!
overall i loved it, the pigmentation is amazing, staying power, etc, everything was good. really satisfied, overly happy with this product and can't wait till they come back in stock!!
Revlon Lip Butters
Okay.. so i want to start off with the negative about this product because i actually really do like it, besides this one thing.
This product is made out to sound like it is super moisturizing, plus a gorgeous lasting color. However, thelip butter part of the name is not so true. For me, this product dried out my lips and made them peel - my lips tend to do this (however) so it may not be true for you. I was hoping it would be more moisturizing because the color was so gorgeous and the texture was perfect - smooth and thick, so it stayed put and didnt slip all over the place.
i found these at CVS or longs, and they went for about $7.50 each. They still had a pretty good range of colors when i went there so i'm really happy about that. so overall, the non-moisturizing is my only problem and i would recommend it, and rebuy (: already thinking of going to pick up a few more (:
Maybelline Illegal Lengths mascara
The Maybelline Illegal Lengths mascara is amazing. It is my new HG mascara. I go to this first thing in the morning and i have already been asked if i was wearing false lashes, which is so great because i am asian and have the shortest lashes that kind of point upward which makes them look even shorter..
the only downfall i have is that if i am not careful, the fibers that make your lashes longer get in my eyes and irritate them the entire day. I just have to be super careful to not put the wand too close to my lashline and then i am fine.
This product does contain fibers as mentioned before and it really pushes your lashes upward and makes them so long!! it reminds me of the Maybelline Stilettos mascara (the tube, brush, smell, etc) except it is better for length and not shiny like the Stilettos are. I think that this used to be in a different tube but may have been re formulated because when i looked it up it was different and i heard it had been discontinued. im so happy with this and already ready to run to walmart and buy backups !
i purchased this at walmart for around $7~ which i think is great for the quality and product.
overall i am so happy that drugstore products are really stepping up their game! im so excited for what the future holds and can't wait to pick up more of these products!!
