new year's eve - !

i can't wait till tonight because there's Twilight Zone marathon on SyFy !
also, i'll be experimenting with a ton of makeup looks with my bestiee! ~ ill be sure to post some pictures tonight. :0

right now i'm getting my skin ready for today's events ~  i'll be preparing my skin for tonight.
though i live in hawaii, the weather is still colder than usual since it is winter.  nights are cold, and mornings it is difficult to get out of bed. my skin has been super dry and flaky due to the weather, climate and possibly due to the soap ive been using.
SO - for SKINCARE: i'll be using a Korean Skincare Sheet mask.  This is a vitamin mask i use that is supposed to help your skin get nourished, brightened, and is also anti-acne. I really love this mask and ive used it many times before. ~ this will combat any dryness and flaking my skin is suffering from.
30 minutes into using mask, i washed it off and now my skin feels so good! its so soft and supple and the dryness has faded dramatically.
MAKEUP- since it is New Year's, glitter and sparkles are (though completely optional) recommended .  i'm still kind of unsure of the color i should use on my eyes.
face - i only need light coverage today - something that'll let my skin breathe and not break me out. also needs to last hours. i'll use Dr. Jart water fuse bb cream - this is a light coverage water based formula. you can buy this at Sephora for about $30 something. i would highly recommend this; however, if you have a darker skintone it isnt recommended because it only comes in one color and its very light, as bb creams are for fair-er Asian skin tones. I think this bb cream actually improves your skin and i personally love it!!
lips - chapstick, then blot with a tissue.  i might use a lip tint over - the Face Shop lip tint in Cherry. This lip tint is super natural and has very little pigmentation, so if you want bold red lips i wouldn't recommend it. however, for simple and everyday looks it is perfect because it is super natural ~ it is a bit drying so wear a chapstick or lip butter under to moisturize.
eyes - Glitter!! NYX glitterati cream glitter palette ~ most likely silver
Most likely i will use purple tonight because blue is a bit too much and too bold for this ~ purple is still wearable, while being really cute and fun & perfect for a New Year's look (:
CLOTHES - since hawaii is still pretty warm out, i think ill wear a short dress.  i'll bring a jacket along for when it gets colder at night. its casual so ill wear a beachy dress. i have one in mind ~ (pictures later on tonight!) it is gray and white ~stripes, with rope straps.  its super short so i may need leggings under ~
ACCESSORIES - hair bow! probably a light pink one that'll match/go with my makeup & outfit
